Sprint 04 · Live

Quality and concepts

Sprint 4 sets targets for coverage, accuracy, freshness, and spend, and it shows possible driver interfaces. Scope and cost estimates from Sprint 2 stay in place except where the change log says lot onboarding still needs its own estimate.

Possible UI

Three concept screens for the driver experience. They show directions the interface could take. They are not a released app, and they do not replace the quality-plan rules for stale data.

Find, review, and reserve

A phone flow for choosing a lot, reading the stall count, and keeping a reservation. Sun Bowl Garage is the sample lot on these screens.

Three phone screens: Find Parking with Sun Bowl Garage at 740 of 820 stalls, a Sun Bowl Garage detail page with hourly and daily rates, and My Reservations with an active reservation plus parking history.

Map with open stalls

A dark campus map with a pin for each open-stall count and a card for the selected garage. Directions sit on the card instead of a separate page.

Dark map around UTEP with red pins for open stalls and a Sun Bowl Garage card showing 124 stalls, 18 open, and a Get Directions button.
Live map concept. Sun Bowl Garage is selected, with 18 of 124 stalls open on this screen.

Search, permit, directions, and account

A second phone set that starts at search, sells a student permit, gives walking directions, and ends on the account page.

Four phone screens: a Damn Parking search home, a student permit purchase for one semester, walking directions of 8 minutes, and a profile page for a student parker.
Search, a one-semester student permit, an 8-minute walk, and the profile screen.

Change log

  • 2026-11-03: Published the Quality Metrics and Issue Management Plan (dated October 5, 2026), the Sprint 4 Change Log, and the Sprint 4 Retrospective. Added three possible UI sections: find and reserve, a live map, and a four-screen mobile flow. The plan's spend baseline is $33,780. Lot onboarding is still outside the 538-hour estimate.
