What the demo shows

You drive the real UTEP campus in the browser. Streets, buildings, and parking lots are the real outlines at 1 meter = 1 meter, the same places shown on Google Maps. Damn Parking holds stall A4 at Sun Bowl Parking Garage. Park in that green stall and the lot camera marks it filled. The open count drops by one. This is a portal demonstration, not a released app and not a live camera feed.

  1. Drive. Arrows or WASD move the car. The on-screen pad does the same thing. Overhead lifts the camera so the campus reads as a map.
  2. Phone. The phone names stall A4 at Sun Bowl Parking Garage and the sample open count for that garage.
  3. Park. Roll into the green stall and stop.
  4. Filled. The stall turns taken, the phone count drops, and the lot camera says the spot is filled. The Filled button parks the car there for you.

Reset puts the car back on the road south of the garage. This spot on Google Maps opens the car's real coordinates so you can compare the world with the map. Layout data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. Stall counts for Sun Bowl, Schuster, Glory Road, and University lots come from the sample database. Other lots are estimated from their real area. The picture stays on the filled stall when the browser asks for reduced motion.
